You need to identify the area that you would like to purchase. Once this is established, you need to calculate what you can afford, click here in order to calculate your budget and then with the assistance of an experienced sales consultant from Your Housing Company view properties and housing options within your budget.   

Once you have found your home, you would need to sign an Offer to Purchase and provided the Seller accepts and signs your offer you would then need to provide the following documents:

  • Copy of offer to purchase
  • A South African bar-coded ID document or Smart Card identification
  • Proof of current residential address (municipal account, Telkom account or valid TV licence).
  • Salary earners: most recent salary slip and banking statement for the last 3 months
  • Commission and overtime earners: most recent 6 months salary slips and 6 months banking statements

 And with the help of your consultant, complete the bond application forms.

Your application will be submitted to all the banks via our Bond Originator and they will obtain competitive rates from all the banks.  With the help of your YHC consultant you will then be required to choose which offer is suitable to you.

Once the Attorneys have prepared the registration documents for you to sign, they will be in contact with you. We will help with setting up the appointment and will be there for you every step of the way.

The property will then register into your name and the developer will start the construction of your new home. Your property in some cases might already be built or very close to completion at this point.

This is where it gets exciting!

After completion of your home you will be able to inspect the house and receive the keys to your brand new home.
